A Cold Ice Gel Pack offers specially developed non- toxic, food grade gel refrigerants that will not liquefy, leak or spill to contaminate the product. The gel packs will stay cold when kept in the insulated carrying case for 4-6 hours, and it will stay cold during treatment for 20-40 minutes. In cold packs, ammonium nitrate is used because it absorbs a lot of heat when it dissolves in water. The water and ammonium nitrate are in separate compartments in the pack. Cold Ice Gel Pack can be reused to chill food and beverages, but they are not intended to be applied to the body.
